A party for Kate

Yesterday we had a sweet little party for Kate with some close friends and family. It was her first birthday! What a special time to celebrate her little life and get excited about seeing her in a few months. We love you, little one!

 the kids wrote letters and drew pictures for the children in Kate's orphanage!

 This is one of our favorite cards! Jack has a sister who is also from China... so he has a special heart for Kate! He wanted her to have this "welcome to America" drawing for when she arrives! How precious!

Our sweet guests brought toys for Kate's orphanage (and the orphanages that our agency partners with). We mailed as much as we could in a big box and sent the rest to Birmingham to our agency- they will deliver the rest of the toys in person when they go to China in September. So special. Thanks, everyone, for making Kate's 1st birthday so special!
